Gratitude.

Gratitude.

In the midst of all of the busy-ness of the holiday season, and the excitement around our new, limited-edition Ghana Raja collection, the crew here at Ethnotek is taking the time to step back, take a deep breath, and reflect on all of the blessings in our lives. This past year has been incredible for us. We have so much gratitude for so many reasons. So, we thought we'd take some time to start a list of the things we're thankful for, and encourage you to dream up your own list.

Here goes...

*We are thankful for our small team...a team that is really more like a family, composed of uber-creative people with passion and dedication united around the mission of spreading cultural appreciation and awareness. We live and breathe the brand (literally, we're like starving artists...living on straight-up inspiration from our incredibly talented artisans and our passionate and loyal Tribe...as well as frequent espresso intake) and we're excited to see where the new year will take us.

*We are thankful for our artisans, who inspire us on the daily. The stories we're able to share every day through the storytelling vessels that are our bags never cease to steal our breath, and we're jazzed to share more of the detail from the artisans behind our brand in the coming year. Stay tuned.

*We are thankful for our production team in Vietnam, led by Mr. Ai, for understanding our vision and nurturing a strong relationship with our team...and, of course, for constantly working to create beautiful, functional packs alongside our guru (bag designer and co-founder), Jake.

*We are thankful for our Tribe. Y'all are some of the most inspiring, loyal, creative and thoughtful individuals we've encountered, and together you create a powerful community with the most unbelievable stories of travel (mis)adventures, obstacles overcome, meaningful connections made, lessons learned and so much more. On top of that, you're the best word-spreaders we've ever met. And that is something our little bag brand is more than thankful for, because without you, none of this would be possible. Thank you for sharing the stories of our artisans every day you wear an Ethnotek bag on your back. So, thank ALL OF YOU. We're in this together.

*Lastly, we are thankful for our families. It's not easy starting and growing a business, and our families have been patient with us as we pursue our dreams, and have really embraced our shared vision as their own. There is nothing better than this. Their copious amounts of patience, love and support keep us going. Every single day.

We could go on, and on, and on...but we'll spare you the novel today. Now it's your turn. Share it with us. Share it with your loved ones. Sharing is caring.

One last thing. Because our Tribe is special and we love you, I will leave you with a sneak peek on letter no. 4 from our Letters from Ghana series on facebook. As you probably already know, our limited-edition Ghana Raja collection is brought to you by the hands of our Fair Trade Federation artisans at the Ananse Village in Ghana, Africa. This is a 1958 Ghana postage stamp with an illustration of the Ghana flag and the The Nkrumah statue, highlighting our Ghana 12 sunburst Raja pack. Kwame Nkrumah was the first president of the Republic of Ghana.

Tribe Tip: these Ghana limited-editions make great, one-of-a-kind-amazing gifts (for others, or for yourself).

What are you thankful for?
